| Hope Christian Academy HCA is a ministry of Hope Baptist Church on the south end of Bradford County. We are located about 10 miles east of Starke, FL and 8 miles west of Keystone Heights, FL. Early Education We combine A Beka, Links to Literacy, and our own style to create an atmosphere of love, play and learning in our early education division. We welcome visitors to tour our classrooms and meet our teachers. Elementary Education HCA uses the A Beka curriculum in our elementary division to build a solid foundation in reading, writing, and arithmetic. Students begin writing cursive in first grade and are reading by the time they leave our pre-kindergarten classes. We teach every subject every day of the week. All subjects are emphasized at HCA, not just the ones that will be on state tests. Middle and High School Our middle and high school divisions use A Beka, A.C.E., and Total Language Curriculum to create a program to meet the needs of many types of learners. We offer classes in Math, Science, History, Spanish, Bible, Home Economics/Sewing, Newspaper, Yearbook, Weight Lifting, Chorus, Band, Computers, and Praise Team with individual teachers. We also had 100% college acceptance for our 2011 senior class. Dual Enrollment at Santa Fe College After passing all subject areas on the College Placement Test, our students are eligible to Dual Enroll at Santa Fe college. |
